Sophia has started showing a real interest in what clothes she wears. She has been telling us what she does and does not want to wear. Also, after she gets dressed she says she needs to go look in the "rectangle mirror" which is the full length mirror in my room. She will come back after looking in the mirror and say, "Mom, I look beautiful."
The picture above was taken Wednesday morning. I took Sophia to the dentist in the morning. We were getting ready to leave and I asked her to put on her shoes. She said she wanted to wear her shiny shoes but I reminded her that we don't wear shiny shoes to school because they get torn up so she needed to wear her black daycare shoes. She said she really wanted to wear her shiny shoes and I once again reminded her that we don't wear them to daycare. Finally she said, "How about shiny shoes just to the dentist." Seriously?!?! When we got to daycare after her dentist appointment I reminded her about changing her shoes and she said, "Yes, I have to put on my daycare shoes now." I can't believe that we have already started fashion bargaining at age two. :)
We haven't had a very eventful week around here. Wednesday night we had a pretty low key girls' night. Tonight Sophia went with Jenni and I to get pedicures. Sophia didn't get her toes done because I had already painted them, but she was very interested in watching Jenni and I get our nails done. The ladies in the nail salon couldn't believe how big Sophia has gotten and that baby number two is on the way. I have been going to the same nail place forever so they remember me being pregnant with Sophia.
I would write more but I am exhausted tonight. I have been getting so tired by the end of the week these days. I will leave you with my 27 week belly picture. Baby Bryson is still doing great and he or she makes their presence be known at all times with lots of kicking. It can make sleeping very interesting.
