Visitors and a Baby Shower

We had a few out of town visitors come and see us this weekend.  Our first visitors came on Friday night...Matt's Uncle Eric and Uncle Mark.  They were in town from Boston.  They are going to be in town for the week but because of Matt's work schedule and our trip to Disneyland later in the week, this was the only chance we were going to get to see them.  They came almost straight from the airport.  It was great to see them and Matt fixed us a delicious dinner.  Sophia was a little on the hyper side but we did get her to sit still long enough for a picture.
Saturday morning was London's Run.  Sophia and I have done the 2-mile walk with Kari and Emma the last couple of year.  This year I decided we should probably sit it out and take it easy.  I seem to have more contractions when I walk too much and I didn't want to overdue with our trip coming up.  I feel like I am a little bit of a chicken this pregnancy.  I am so afraid of delivering early and I had a rough couple of weeks after Christmas so I feel like I am a little too cautious lately, but I guess that isn't a bad thing.  Anyway, Sophia and I did join Kari, Emma, Connie (Kari's mom), and Shelly (Connie's good friend) for lunch at the Olive Mill.  Their food is delicious and the weather was perfect for sitting outside for lunch.  The girls had a fun time running around.
My little girl is very cheesy.
They were jumping around, but it looks like Emma is showing Sophia a new dance move. :)
Saturday we had another out of town visitor...Chris (or Uncle Chris as Sophia calls him).  Chris lives in Boulder, CO but had been in California training (he is a cyclist) and had come back to Arizona for a few days.  We went to Beckett's Table for dinner.  I had been wanting to try this restaurant for quite a while.  The food was really good and I would definitely go back.  Don't these three look like they are up to something?
Sophia and Mommy.
Uncle Chris brought Sophia Christmas presents.  She was thrilled with the princess microphone and keyboard.  They were the perfect gifts for our little performer.
Sophia was pretty attached to Chris.  Matt and Chris were outside and when they came back in Sophia ran right past her Daddy to go see Chris.
Sunday morning Sophia and I went to a baby shower for my co-worker, Kelli.  She is due at the beginning of March.  Sophia brought Minnie Mouse to the shower with us.
My co-workers.  The last we had a shower for Kelli was her bridal shower and I was pregnant with Sophia.
Kelli and her husband are also waiting to find out the sex of the baby so there was no pink or blue to be found.  I loved the colors of the shower.
The two preggos.  Doesn't Sophia look happy?  Lets just say that it was past nap time and she wanted to be in the picture, then she didn't, then she did...
As you can see, we had quite a busy weekend.  I was hoping to get some packing done for our trip this week but that didn't really happen.  I am suffering from some pretty intense heartburn every time I lay down (and sometimes even when I am up) so I haven't been sleeping very well.  This has made for one tired Mama.  I am hoping to get to bed at a decent hour tonight and then be rested tomorrow so tomorrow night we can get all packed up for our trip.  We leave Wednesday so I don't really have much of a choice. :)
